The Washington Thundercats were led by two of their longest tenured players Monday night, as Joey Davis turned back Father Time tossing a complete game while allowing just three runs and walking only one of the Alexandria A's batters.

Nick Vanderhye led the way on offense reaching base five times for the Thundercats.  After surrendering a 1-0 lead through three, the Thundercats took the lead in the fourth and didn’t look back as they climbed back to within one game of .500. Final score: 9-3.

For the A's, starter Sam Tinnesz fanned 11 batters in 5 innings, but also walked seven and fell victim to some untimely lapses on defense, earning him the loss.  Offensively, the A's scattered 12 hits, 3 of which came off of Tim Denevi's bat, yet stranded all but three of their runners.

After jumping out to a 4-0 start to the season, the A's have now dropped two consecutive games and play next in a DH versus the Arlington Silver Bullets this Saturday at 5pm at West Potomac.

The Thundercats (3-4) will kick off their inter-league play slate this Sunday 2pm at Robinson Secondary against the IBL Clementes.
