Barons and Mallards split on a rainy morning

Game One: A pitcher’s duel that featured a complete game shutout victory for the Mallard’s, O’Donnell, who K’d 9 in 7 innings and allowed only 4 hits.  For the Barons, Ayers was equally as good, K’ing 9 in 5 innings, but surrendered the lone run on a bases-loaded HBP in the first inning.  Mallards 1, Barons 0.

Game Two: The Barons pitching was stingy, allowing only one hit in the rain-shortened second game of the DH.  Hogan and Quinn combined for 6 K’s in 5 innings, while the Barons offense hit 3 home runs, Andreyev, Rogers, G. Ortiz (Grand Slam).  Shoenfeld went 2-2 in the Baron’s 10-0 victory.
