Taylor Bryner registered his second win in a three day span, and Damon Cruz came in to relieve for the A’s.  He threw five innings and struck out five batters allowing just one earned run.  A’s newcomer, Zack Bright closed out the game with stellar stuff to cap off his 2 double, 5 RBI night at the plate.  Another A’s newcomer, Matthias Teufel who was signed less than a day before the game, flashed his glove in CF with a diving catch in the 1st inning, and went 2 for 3 with an RBI at the plate.

Thundercats pitcher Joseph Davis threw 8 innings and struck out 4 in the loss, and was almost as accurate as his performance a week ago, walking only 2 of 42 A's batters.  Final score: 12-1 Athletics.

Next up: the Thundercats and Athletics face off again in double header action this Sunday, May 5, 2019, 11am, at Falls Church High School, to conclude their 4-game regular season series.
